Welcome to Sidney Renae's world of art!
In a world full of infinite ideas and ways to be creative, Sidney Renae knows how to get lost in her own dreamland, and use her vivid imagination to tell stories through her music. Whether or not she's writing a song and then recording it, producing a beat, or coming up with ideas for another artist; Sidney Renae's creativity and ear for great music is a force to be reckoned with.

A LOOK AT SIDNEY RENAE
If you’re wondering who Sidney Renae is, you should know that she’s more than just a pretty face. Her full name is Donielle “Sidney Renae” Bryant, and she's an: Iraq Veteran, UCLA graduate, and more recently an LA Film School graduate who proudly holds a degree in Music Production. Whether she's on the front line serving her country, in the classroom being studious, or in the studio laying down a track; it is undeniable that she is a leader who's in charge of her destiny, and what better way to show off her talents than letting her voice be heard? Born in Oakland, CA, Sidney Renae's performing arts career began when she won a state award for writing a poetry book at the age of 8. She then ventured into taking on jazz dance classes, and by the time she was in high school she was a full-fledged member of her dance team. It was then when she first professed her dreams of wanting to move to Los Angeles and become a video vixen (which she jokes about to this day).
Performing and writing poetry has always been second nature for Sidney Renae, which is why I was the least bit surprised when I learned that she recalls being on her high school’s dance team as the first time she realized she was creatively talented. It’s clear that Sidney Renae’s passion for dance is what ultimately led her in the direction of pursing a career in the music industry, and surely enough destiny was right around the corner.
Looking back, at the age of 17 she joined the army, and by the time she was 19 and finished with high school she ended up in Iraq, and it was there that she first recorded with her army battle buddies. This was the beginning of her realization that she was in love with creating music. While in Iraq she was accepted into UCLA, and after her first year of college she somehow ended up in Hollywood, CA where she had a chance to get closer to her dreams and learned what the industry is about. One fun fact about Sidney Renae is that she has only performed one time in the Los Angeles area in North Hollywood; which is ironic because North Hollywood is her current home (see how things come full circle).
Now, after taking the time to rebrand herself and develop her craft, Sidney Renae is back and more confident in her musical aptitude and talents than ever. With the extraordinary ability to record, produce, write, and arrange her own music nothing should get in the way of her dreams now that she has leveled up. She has a story to tell through her music, and her edgy side definitely will keep her listeners ears open. So what’s in store you ask? Well, Sidney Renae plans on doing her first music video this year to her “Bad & Boujee” remix, along with some performances, and building her social media presence.

"CATRAP"
Sidney Renae's Music:
CATrap is a beat that Sidney Renae produced specifically for people who love the CA jerk/hyphy style of music, mixed with her interpretation of what she believes is a style of trap music that sounds like what the famous Atlanta trap/hiphop producer Zaytoven does in his music. Thus you have the title, "California Trap". The instruments used in this song were simply a main arpeggiated key melody, an organ chime melody, hi hats, a kick, a snare pattern, and a synth guitar bass sound. Being that I am from Oakland, CA I believe that in this track my kick fits a classic bay area style kick, which we would classify as a “speaker knocker” or a kick that bangs.
Sidney Renae notes that the kick sound combined with the funky organ, and arpeggiated melody that she created gives this beat it’s overall dark and haunted Southern trap sound. Moreover, Sidney Renae is a fan of many different kinds of creative innovators, and another trap producer aside from Zaytoven who’s trap style of production she admires is; Metroboomin for his heavy 808 patterns combined with his unique kick pattern. Although Sidney Renae has yet to perfect the trap style, she credits the Bay Area's unique hiphop culture, for her ability to produce urban/trap sounding records.

"BAD & BOUJEE"
To Be or Not To Be: "Bad & Boujee"
In reference to the title “Bad & Boujee”, this song is a remix of The Migos ft Lil’Uzivert’s popular song, and an ode that Sidney Renae made to the “bad” or unique and interesting women whom attract the likes of famous entertainers, athletes, and other high caliber men. Not only that but this song is also for all of the bossy ladies out here who are about handling business. Similar to many music visionaries, Sidney Renae had a vision to team up with another female boss/artist named Ari on this trap style beat, to show how female rappers from California give it up on a fire beat. Not only do Sidney Renae and Ari show you how they can compete bar for bar with the hottest rappers of today; but they are planning to release a video for this remix at the top of the new year, to showcase that rapping is just one of their many talents in addition to their good looks. Stay tuned for their exciting visual coming soon!
"PRESCHOOL"
Ever wonder why your new favorite rappers are so catchy? Well let me let you in on a secret; think “preschool”. As a producer/creative engineer Sidney Renae has always had an ear for identifying the latest music trends, and by studying some of the recent songs on the Billboard Hot 100 list (and also recent popular viral dance videos); she has concluded that simple lyrics and simple memorable melodies can almost guarantee a hit if produced right. For this reason alone, Sidney Renae put her producer hat on and decided to recreate the jingle of a childhood melody, combined with some trap music elements to create “Preschool”. The idea for this production came about after analyzing some of today’s new hits such as “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd and “Broccoli” by Dram ft. Lil Yachty; and Sidney Renae concluded that songs which that can reach kids in preschool or younger have unique production and songwriting characteristics. Furthermore, if you listen closely to this song “Preschool” you might find yourself reminiscing about your favorite childhood tune with a futuristic twist.
